My Artistic Personality: I am observant to a fault. I am both inspired and overloaded by the world's characters and environments. My art helps me process this daily visual information. It is a form of purging for me that is exhausting and fulfilling at the same time. I consider myself a raw or visionary artist. I create art only from my experiences, emotions, and instincts rather than from schooled instruction.
My Creative Process: I first create a rough sketch of my art idea and think about a color scheme in which to work. Then I hand paint bristol paper with my chosen acrylic colors. I cut my custom colors into various characters and scenes, piecing them together like a puzzle. Finally, I glue the final art onto a white or colored background. |
